Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care in a 12-bed ICU with a 1:2–3 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators and titratable drips
• Mix medications and perform patient hygiene care as part of comprehensive ICU management
• Float to the Emergency Room to assist with call lights, medication passing, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws (no independent patient assignment required in ER)
• Float to Med/Surg and take a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients, or serve in an aide capacity covering up to 12 patients
• Participate in holiday coverage as required; no on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Willingness and ability to float to ER and Med/Surg departments
• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico — submitting agency must be registered with the State of New Mexico, as this process may take several weeks

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Room and/or Med/Surg experience preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene care preferred
