Inventory Worker

Job Summary
The Inventory Worker is primarily responsible for inventory control, job order material usage reconciliation, job closings, and inventory reconciliation. This position will coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure that inventory is accurate and appropriate to meet demands. The Inventory Worker will perform duties within the production and inventory control department as required.
Location: Lowell, MA
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Essential Responsibilities

• Review jobs requiring materials via the ERP system.
• Issue materials to assigned jobs both physically and in the ERP system.
• Return materials from completed jobs both physically and in the ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory as required.
• Communicate any material shortages to appropriate departments as needed.
• Receive incoming materials and prepare outgoing shipments.
• Assist with packing, shipping, clean room kitting, and warehouse operations.
• Ensure materials are stocked in appropriate quantities to support production.
• Maintain and monitor a manual or computerized inventory control system for raw materials, tooling, consumables, and finished stock.
• Investigate discrepancies within inventory records.
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Represent the department in a positive and professional manner.
• Ensure reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance as an essential function of the job.
• Comply with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• No experience required; 1 year of manufacturing, shipping, or material handling experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programs and tools.
• Strong command of the English language (speak, read, write) with good communication skills.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a positive and professional manner.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification as needed by location.
