PrettyData is an early stage VC (Techstars) backed software startup that is building an AI business partner to help salon run their business profitably (i.e. hair, waxing, massage, med spa) -- for example running ads, competitor intelligence, dynamic pricing, etc. -- with AI chat.

Our product is focused on the US, then Europe. Led by a veteran startup executive from the US that lives in Amsterdam who helped build a $1.5B unicorn, worked at Ray Dalio's hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, and also owns a salon - we combine the worlds of tech and beauty.

We're looking for a coding saavant that can work across the full stack of frontend, backend, ML, and data. S/he will get the chance to build and shape our product from the early stages as part of the founding team with great equity opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Develop SaaS application - front and backend
• Scrape lots of data
• Build AI agents
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases
• Write effective APIs and documentation
• Support managing the infrastructure and security of our application
• Test, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

Who You Are

You are a coding machine that wants to build an AI-first application, fast! You're eager to learn what startup life is really like and view everything as a growth opportunity. You are self motivated, not a perfectionist, and always looking for better ways of doing things. You would never say that something "isn't your job", and you know how to balance hustle with poise in the way you conduct yourself. You also have the following technical knowledge:

• Can build a full-stack application
• Build AI-first
• Knowledge of multiple frontend languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, React, XML)
• Knowledge of multiple backend languages (e.g. Python)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Postgres, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with infrastructure and security (e.g. Digital Ocean, GCP, Sentry)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced unstructured startup environment
• Team player with good communication skills; work with people from other countries
• Bonus points if you've worked with big data applications (i.e. data enrichment or intelligence tools like Clearbit, Similiarweb, Experian, etc.)
