Application Tester

As an Application Tester, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our enterprise applications. You safeguard the user experience by meticulously testing software packages and deployments, identifying issues before they impact our operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and directly contributes to the seamless functioning of our IT infrastructure, empowering our teams to achieve their goals with confidence. This is an onsite position with work to be performed at the VA facility located in Albany, New York. Position Responsibilities: Performs comprehensive QA Testing on application packages and deployments, ensuring functionality, compatibility, and adherence to established standards.Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects, collaborating with development and packaging teams for efficient troubleshooting and defect resolution.Utilizes various packaging tools such as Admin Studio, Flexera, SCCM, App-V, MSIX, and MSI packaging to understand package structure and test integrity.Validates the correct implementation of transforms (MST) for customized application configurations.Develops and executes test cases for applications that incorporate scripting (PowerShell, VBScript).Ensures applications are prepared for enterprise deployment and ongoing patch management processes.Contributes to the creation and maintenance of product technical documentation.Applies strong problem-solving skills to complex technical challenges during the testing lifecycle.Participates actively in an Agile Delivery environment, contributing to sprints and continuous improvement.Tests integrations and applications built with Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.
