Cloud Architect

Looking to introduce a West Coast region in Azure. Select a tool to manage EKS, AKS, etc. They will act as a cloud advisory – number of app dev teams which come to them – looking to put a new application into the cloud – his team consults with them to leverage different solutions in the cloud – for example PaaS, more distributed model, achieve disaster recovery in the cloud, etc. This team is front and center which provides architecture but also works to get alignment with different teams – being security, devops, etc – needing to bring those teams under one umbrella. This person could be siloed in one of the cloud platforms – GCP, Azure (GCP or Azure is highly preferred, but will consider AWS). This person will be in a highly strategic role – they won’t be doing much in the way of hands on keyboard work – will be heavy design and whiteboarding – draw diagram to build PCI environment within GCP – will work with different teams to come up with this design. More strategic minded - need architecture design background. Working with multiple teams to come up with the design. Will need to help sell the solution as well as work with teams to contrive solutions from what is in place vs new. No hands-on engineering, will need to have a good grasp of the skillset and tools of an engineer. Important for them to have a design background – we aren’t looking for a senior engineer – need enterprise design.
