Lead Driver

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lead Driver to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garbage truck driving and possess excellent leadership skills to oversee daily operations and guide a team of drivers. Responsibilities Operate garbage trucks safely and efficiently following all company and regulatory guidelines. Lead and supervise a team of drivers to ensure timely and effective waste collection services. Coordinate daily routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards. Provide training, support, and mentorship to team members. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, management, and customers as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience driving garbage trucks or similar heavy vehicles. Strong leadership and team management skills. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Excellent knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
