Medical Assistant (Mobile)

In this role, you will assume responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician in the patient care area. You will work directly with PanCare leadership to ensure positive results and success in the mobile health program.This position is a seasonal (school year) position with our Mobile team. Your location and schedule will vary week to week and may include early am, pm and Saturday hours.Your responsibilities include the following:Assist and perform student health screenings to include BMI, Early Childhood Development; Hearing, Height, Hemoglobin, Lead, Scoliosis, and VisionAccurately record findings of completed health screeningsAdminister medication as directed by the physicianAdminister minor first aidMay assist with managing communicable diseases and conditionsNotify PanCare nurse, parent/guardian, and principal of acutely ill or injured studentsPerform CPR/AED as neededDocumentation and data reporting of services provided in clinic according to established policy and proceduresGreet patients and prepare them for screening and examsComplete the mobile check-in process at service sites and community eventsGreet and communicate professionally with the site contact and staff throughout the duration at any given siteEnsure all patient intake paperwork is complete and maintain tracking of patient encounters at each siteComply with confidentiality requirements of Bay County School District and PanCare of FloridaAssist with medical record data entry as neededRequired Qualifications:High School Graduate or GEDAt least 1 year experience in a healthcare settingAt least 1 year experience with record-keeping, maintaining health documentation, and managing health-related informationBLS CertificationMust pass Level 2 fingerprint background check, including both State and Federal (FBI) criminal history checksUnderstanding of basic medical procedures, first aid, and student health needsPreferred Qualifications:At least 2 years experience in a healthcare settingExperience working with children or in a school settingPanCare provides a comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental, and vision insurance.
