Director, Management Consulting (New York)

For our client, we are seeking a Director Management Consulting to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Business Services environment.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $250,000 – $295,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead complex consulting projects in collaboration with a Managing Director
• Execute analytical workstreams and produce tailored client insights
• Refine and validate hypotheses with senior colleagues and clients
• Manage day-to-day operations of consulting teams, delegating tasks and mentoring juniors
• Build consensus around client outcomes, leveraging data to drive decisions
• Identify business development opportunities and partake in proposal drafting and pitches
• Serve as a liaison for senior clients, nurturing long-term relationships
• Deliver impactful client presentations, articulating insights effectively

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategy or management consulting with proven leadership on major projects
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or quantitative field; postgraduate degree preferred
• Experience in advising Technology and Services sectors, especially in Growth Strategy and M&A
• Valuable experience with private equity firms and their portfolio companies
• Strong analytical skills with a preference for data-driven decision making
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce polished client-ready reports
