Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This position involves providing care in a free-standing ED with 15% pediatric patients. The RN will perform a variety of procedures, including sedation, rapid sequence intubation, and care for vascular devices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid sequence intubation and procedural sedation
• Manage drains, Port-A-Cath, and vascular device access/care
• Administer treatments such as BiPAP/CPAP and blood products
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage chest tubes
• Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and EKGs
• Ensure proper management of feeding tubes and PICC lines

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Experience with trach care, cardio version/defibrillation, and respiratory treatments
• Knowledge of Epic charting system preferred
• Charge experience is a plus
