About the Position

Job Opportunity – Renal Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio of 1:5-6; no call required; 49-bed unit with average daily census of 48 patients

Highlights:

• Renal Medical/Surgical specialty working with adult to geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR experience required; facility also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR systems
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Maximum 7 days of time off available; all requests must be finalized at submission
• First-time travelers accepted; charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Orientation provided with non-billable hours based on assignment length

Requirements:

• Current Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; charge experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Clinical competencies including IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central/PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, and isolation precautions
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation due by Tuesday prior to start date; must complete core items within 48 hours of contract signing

• Floating within facility/scope of practice may be required as needed
• Holiday requirements: If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, you will work all; if three holidays fall during assignment, you will work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• Local candidates accepted at same rate
• Orientation schedule runs bi-weekly; non-compliance may result in two-week delay
