We are seeking a driven, high-energy Family Law Attorney to manage a robust caseload and regularly represent clients in court. The firm serves all of Essex County from offices in Salem and Gloucester, Massachusetts, representing individuals in Essex Probate and Family Court. Practice areas include family law disputes such as high-asset divorce, complex child custody matters, and related probate and civil litigation. Role Description The Family Law Attorney will handle a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and related probate issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing legal needs, developing case strategies, drafting pleadings and motions, and reviewing financial and custodial documents. The role involves appearing in the Essex, Middlesex, and Suffolk Probate and Family Courts for hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials, as well as conducting depositions and negotiations with opposing counsel. The attorney will collaborate with colleagues and support staff, maintain accurate case files, and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Salem, MA. Qualifications 3-7 years experience in Law and Family Law, with demonstrated experience handling family law disputes. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex Legal Issues related to divorce, custody, and probate matters. Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, as well as advocating for clients at all stages of family law matters including but not limited toPre Trial Conferences, Review Hearings, and Trials in Probate and Family Court. Experience preparing for and conducting Depositions, including examining parties and witnesses. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active Massachusetts bar admission in good standing. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with strong negotiation and client counseling abilities. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple cases and court deadlines. Prior experience in Essex, Middlesex, or SuffolkProbate and Family Courts or Massachusetts family law practice is required.
