CT Technologist

Job Summary and Qualifications The CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including Computed Tomography procedures, and is responsible for safety protocols.Functions as the first line interface with patients. Participates in CQI activities. What you will do in this role: Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock,burnsand extraneous radiation to patients. Determinesthe most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly. Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures. Works under the direction of the Radiologistat all times. Takes x-ray, CT call according to monthly schedule after the closing of regular department hours. Competent in the use of CR and PACS. What qualifications you will need: Current ARRT Licensure in Diagnostic Radiology Current Louisiana State Licensure (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer Associate degree required Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 1 years of radiologic/imaging experienceRequired Specific training and experience in CT preferred Benefits Rapides Regional Medical Center offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
