Certified Compliance Auditor

To ensure compliance with regulatory standards, the full-time Certified Compliance Auditor will conduct risk-based audits of clinical documentation, coding, and billing records while working remotely, validating documentation accuracy and supporting internal audit activities. Key responsibilities Perform risk-based audits of clinical documentation and billing records to ensure compliance with regulations Evaluate coding accuracy and medical necessity, identifying compliance risks and trends Prepare audit reports summarizing findings and collaborate with stakeholders to address compliance objectives Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field 3 years of experience in coding or regulatory compliance auditing in a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and payer regulations related to documentation and coding Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent upon hire Experience with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
