About the Position

Job Title

RN - Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/PCU setting with a focus on cardiac monitoring and management
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for intermediate-acuity patients
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience in an IMC, PCU, or Step Down setting
• Strong cardiac PCU experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
