Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of OR circulating experience with Level 1 or 2 trauma and Neuro exposure.

Details

• 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center operating room unit within a 500-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Handles 60-70 cases with heavy focus on Ortho, Spine, and Neuro service lines, plus other specialties
• No Cardiac or Transplant cases performed on this unit
• Mid shift, 4x10 hours, variable 0845 or 1045 start times
• Weekend shifts required with flexibility expected (facility does not count Sunday night as a weekend shift)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating outside of scope required
• Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, 3-4 years preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, Level 2 trauma experience required
• Neuro surgical experience required
• Circulating skills required in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and scrub support across a wide range of surgical specialties including Vascular, Neurology, Trauma, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Urology, Robotics, ENT, and Plastics
• Facility-provided scrubs
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Holiday RTO restricted to 1 of 3 major holidays plus 3 additional non-holiday RTO days outside of blocked dates (11/22-12/1, 12/22-12/27, 12/28-1/5)
• Facility highly prefers travelers to work Christmas
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• Previous UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
