Pulmonary Critical Care/Adult ICU (Per diem) Advanced Practice Provider

Job Title Rush University Medical Center invites applications for the position of Pulmonary Critical Care/Adult ICU Per diem Advanced Practice Provider. About the Role This provider will join a team of physicians and APPs that provide 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties. Duties & Responsibilities The AICU is a 28-bed unit that is staffed by both medical and surgical ICU teams. This position is 100% inpatient. Preferred Qualifications Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in the ICU is required. APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification. Position Requirements Nurse Practitioner Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process. Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with a clinical specialty appropriate to the position. Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Physician Assistant Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process. Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program. Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
