Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / GI Procedural Unit – New York

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, varying days off based on department needs. On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 4–6 shifts per month). 8-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Advanced GI and pulmonary procedural experience including EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan
• 30-bed unit with 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio; mix of inpatient and outpatient endoscopy procedures
• Patient population includes procedural-based care for pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures
• Specialized equipment including ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry systems
• Float to Pre-Anesthesia and PACU as needed; full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic EMR experience required; pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; CGRN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy or procedural nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion required
• Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring, airway management, and recovery care
• Proficiency with endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS
• First-time travelers accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from facility
