Full-Time Charge Registered Nurse (RN) Mother Baby - Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201 Work hours: Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly Department highlights: The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10-step facility with the "Best Place to Have a Baby" designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team The unit has 23 beds Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet Care, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms and 4 private OB/ED beds Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms The unit delivers an average between 175-200 a month. OB Hospitalist 24/7 Anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7 Brand new Women's Tower that opened July 2022

Qualifications Nursing Diploma Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire required 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required; 2 Years Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred Mother Baby experience preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Charge RN will model the eight caring factors listed below. The Charge Nurse role will support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is Texas Health's structure for decision making. This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
