Day Shift Machinist | $25-$35/Hour Based on Experience

Are you a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work and solving unique manufacturing challenges?

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join a well-established industrial machine shop specializing in custom manufacturing, equipment repair, and precision machining. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of one-off and custom projects rather than repetitive production work. Candidates who enjoy problem-solving, blueprint reading, and hands-on machining will thrive in this environment.

• $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

• Full-Time Position

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Machine new components and repair existing parts to precise tolerances
• Perform measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machining methods
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain quality standards and ensure completed work meets customer requirements
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

• Previous manual machining experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Experience working with precision measuring instruments
• Strong understanding of machining practices and tolerances
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Commitment to producing high-quality work

• Job shop or custom machining environment
• Repair machining and equipment rebuild experience
• Experience machining large steel components

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Summersville, WV.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
