Travel RN – Acuity Adaptable Unit (ICU/PCU/Med-Surg) | Candidate Screening Checklist

✅ Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Comfortable caring for patients across multiple acuity levels

Note: This is an Acuity Adaptable Unit , not a traditional ICU . Nurses must be flexible in caring for ICU, PCU/IMC, and Med/Surg patients as patient acuity changes.

✅ Unit Overview

Patients may include:

• ICU-level patients
• Progressive Care (PCU/IMC) patients
• Med/Surg patients

Assignments are based on patient acuity and unit needs.

✅ Required Skills

• Critical care nursing
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Management of critically ill patients
• Rapid assessment and prioritization
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Ability to transition between different acuity levels

✅ Floating Requirements

Must be willing to:

• Float within the hospital based on competency
• Float to affiliated facilities within a 40-mile radius if needed

✅ Scheduling Requirements

• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• Every Other Holiday (EOH)
