Irrigation Foremen / Crew Leads are key members of our field workforce. They are skilled tradespeople with a specialized skill set – installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems. Crew Leaders typically have 2-3 years of experience in irrigation installation and oversee one or more crews. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Installing irrigation systems and all components including traditional and two-wire systems - from trenching to wiring the clock Setting up clocks/controllers and timers Diagnosing problems and issues with existing systems, controllers and other components Locating, repairing and existing valves Tracing electrical components Submitting timesheets, material costs, etc., daily using Aspire software Using technology platforms including Smartlink, Hydrawise, etc. to improve efficiency Communicating with division managers and other staff to prioritize schedules Providing excellent service and products to clients Assisting division managers with keeping irrigation labor and materials within budgets. Requirements Of The Positions: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis Drivers License Required Ability to bend and stoop frequently Must wear work boots, company uniforms, and company-provided PPE at all times, while practicing safe work habits Ability to work in all weather conditions, around insects, poisonous plants, allergens, and other environmental risks Must be able to pass a criminal background check Experience is a plus, but not required for the entry level technician position. Experience is required for the leadership position, and starting pay is higher for leaders. A valid driver's license and a good driving record for the last 3 years is a plus, but drivers receive higher starting pay. Granite Hills Group
