Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)
Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour (DOE)

Now Hiring: Saw Operator

Mobile Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Saw Operator for a leading structural steel fabrication company in the Tampa area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience operating industrial band saws or cold saws in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience accurately measuring and cutting structural steel materials while maintaining production quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and vertical band saws, cold saws, and other cutting equipment.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and cut lists.
• Measure, mark, and cut structural steel materials to required specifications.
• Verify material dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout production.
• Safely load and unload steel using overhead cranes and forklifts (preferred).
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist other fabrication departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating industrial saws in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read tape measures accurately to 1/16".
• Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of structural steel materials including beams, channels, angles, tubing, and plate.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
