Medical Doctor/Physician - Pharmacist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication management, drug information dissemination, and ensuring medication safety and effectiveness. Performs key pharmacy functions in alignment with hospital policies to support patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor and optimize patient medication therapy, ensuring appropriateness and effectiveness for diverse patient populations.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate drug information effectively to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in emergency medication management, assisting with medication preparation and ensuring availability of supplies.
• Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to meet operational and patient care needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Possess a valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Have at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
