About the Role We are looking for a Senior IBOR & Investment Operations Transformation Lead to advise clients on the modernization of investment operations, middle-office platforms, and book-of-record capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, investment operations, data architecture, and technology transformation. The successful candidate will help clients evaluate current-state limitations, assess platform alternatives, define future-state operating models, and shape transformation roadmaps that support increasingly complex asset classes, growing data volumes, and evolving business requirements. You will work directly with senior business, operations, technology, and architecture stakeholders to solve challenges related to investment accounting, position keeping, reconciliation, valuation, P&L attribution, exception management, and operational scalability. This is a highly consultative role requiring both strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery leadership. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on Investment Book of Record (IBOR) and Accounting Book of Record (ABOR) strategy and operating model evolution Assess current-state platforms and identify capability, scalability, and operational gaps Evaluate vendor, in‑house, and hybrid platform approaches for book-of-record modernization Develop business cases, target‑state architectures, capability models, and transformation roadmaps Design future‑state investment operations and middle‑office operating models Improve reconciliation, exception management, position keeping, valuation, and accounting processes Define approaches to support TRS, structured products, syndicated bank loans, private assets, and exotic instruments Establish data governance, golden‑source frameworks, and target‑state architectures Assess opportunities to leverage AI and automation for reconciliation, break analysis, and workflow optimization Facilitate workshops and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders Experience Requirements 15+ years of experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Investment Operations Deep expertise across investment operations, middle office, and book-of-record functions Experience leading IBOR, ABOR, investment accounting, or middle‑office transformation programs Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, position keeping, valuation, reconciliation, and P&L attribution Experience working with complex financial products including derivatives, TRS, syndicated loans, structured products, and alternative investments Experience with platforms such as FIS InvestOne, SimCorp Dimension, Aladdin, Charles River, Eagle, Clearwater, or similar solutions Knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud platforms, and investment data ecosystems SQL and data analysis experience preferred The base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
