About Houston-Galveston Area Council The Houston-Galveston Area Council is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country with a diverse service area of 13 counties and more than 7 million people. Assist with the planning and development of new and existing large-scale projects Manage multiple projects, including those overseeing the team responsible for childcare services and eligibility Develop action plans to streamline processes and achieve expected outcomes in a timely manner Ensure programs and services are delivered in accordance with Workforce Boards directive and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations Supervise a diverse team of individuals Strategically adjust workload amongst team members Effectively communicate unit and project status Key Qualifications Experienced in Project Management Principles and proven ability to handle large-scale projects from inception to completion, and anywhere in between Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively handle multiple competing deadlines Skill in allocating scarce resources, including human capital Effective leadership, motivation, and teamwork skills Problem-solving capabilities Do you have… Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study 5 years of experience with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties Preferred Qualifications Experience with local government funding and contract management Salary Range- $92,000.00-$100,000.00 All employees of H-GAC are required to reside within the agency's region of service to support our commitment to excellence in serving our region.
