Job Summary

Th e Quality Specialist is responsible for performing moderately complex and detailed inspection processes to ensure equipment and components meet established quality specifications. This role identifies defects, approves or rejects parts, completes inspection documentation, and supports ongoing quality improvement efforts.

 

Job Description

  • Perform moderately complex and intricate inspection processes on equipment, components, and parts.
  • Follow established inspection procedures and guidance to meet nightly inspection goals.
  • Inspect equipment and parts to verify compliance with established quality specifications.
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and nonconforming parts and determine whether items should be approved or rejected.
  • Complete inspection reports, testing documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and quality-related information.
  • Maintain the quality standards established by the organization.
  • Identify recurring or emerging quality issues and communicate concerns that could potentially affect production.
  • Recommend improvements to inspection processes, product quality, and production activities when appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and communicate technical concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating safe work practices and proactively addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Work effectively with coworkers and other departments to address quality concerns and support production goals.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: M-F 3pm - 3am

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum 1 year of ESP experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or quality environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Customer-first mindset with a focus on quality and service.
  • Action-oriented approach with the ability to deliver results.
  • Ability to complete required inspection and testing documentation accurately.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment-related issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and, when required, with little to no direct supervision.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to accept feedback, coaching, and direction.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline, integrity, and accountability.
  • Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining consistent accuracy.

Preferred

  • Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers and small assembly tools.
  • Experience handling small parts, inventory, or inspection-related materials.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, quality control, inspection, or production processes.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $20 - $23 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors) l
