By leveraging over five decades of manufacturing expertise and employing an extensive technologies portfolio, we design, manufacture, and finish incomparable stock and customized solutions for numerous markets.Position: Chemical Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Newark, OhioReports to: Sr. Chemical Laboratory TechnicianShifts: Mid Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pmPay Range: $19.50 - $24.00/hr.Job SummaryThe Chemical Laboratory Technician supports the anodizing operations, wastewater pre-treatment & recycling systems, and Environmental Compliance. In this role, the Technician is responsible for performing analytical analyses on chemical solutions, including sample collection, titrations, dilutions, reagent preparation, and use of ICP-OES, spectrophotometer, and other instruments. The candidate will communicate their findings via reports and spreadsheets and will be responsible for daily monitoring of air quality, as well as periodic support during HAZ-MAT or First Aid emergencies.Essential FunctionsConduct analytical analyses using wet lab protocols and acid testing methodsPerform manual colorimetric titrations and operate pH meter, oven, balance, and other laboratory equipmentUse hydrometer, pipettor, thermometer, and burette, and prepare reagents and calibrate instrumentsFollow glassware cleaning procedures and general laboratory housekeeping practicesPerform routine or preventive maintenance of laboratory tools and equipmentPerform other duties as requestedUnderstand basic safety procedures and follow MSDS or company procedures for handling chemicals safelyUnderstand sampling techniques for an industrial manufacturing environment and participate with HAZ-MAT or First Aid teamsQualificationsAn associate degree in chemistry, environmental science or equivalent preferredOne year of analytical laboratory experience preferredHave experience operating an ICP spectrometer or similar PC-controlled analytical instrumentCompetence in proper laboratory safety protocolsPossess proficient organizational, computational, and communication skills, and computer skills including document and spreadsheet softwareWork with minimal supervision and cooperate with other departmentsAbility to differentiate between colorsAbility to stand for a lengthy amount of timeFlexibility in work schedule to cover illness, vacation or emergencyBenefitsCompetitive PayCareer GrowthHealth Coverage Starting Your First Day401K with Company Match, to help save for the futurePaid Time Off to Enjoy Family or HobbiesDailyPay, to get your money fasterTraining, to help hone skillsMany more!Anomatic takes pride in creating a safe and inclusive environment that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees and the communities in which they live.
