Accounting Director | Hybrid | WPB | $170k base + bonus

Our client, a well-established organization in the regulated energy and utilities sector, is seeking an Accounting Director to join their team. This highly visible leadership role will oversee accounting activities across regulated utility operations, with responsibility for financial reporting, regulatory accounting, internal controls, team leadership, and finance transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for regulated utility entities Oversee accounting for utility plant, depreciation, regulatory assets and liabilities, and cost-of-service activities Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, FERC accounting standards, and state regulatory requirements Partner with Regulatory Affairs on rate cases, regulatory filings, cost-of-service analysis, and plant-in-service support Maintain strong SOX/internal controls and coordinate with internal and external auditors Lead and develop a team of accounting managers and staff Support ERP implementation, process improvement, standardization, and automation Partner with Operations, Engineering, FP&A, Tax, and senior leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility Strong regulated utility accounting experience, including FERC and state regulatory environments Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, plant accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls Proven experience leading accounting teams and complex close processes Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills Rate case experience preferred ERP implementation experience preferred; SAP is a strong plus This is a full-time hybrid role requiring one day per week in the West Palm Beach office , offering a base salary of $150,000-$175,000 plus a 20% bonus and strong benefits. #J-18808-Ljbffr Daley And Associates, LLC
