A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Altoona, PA. This direct hire position offers variable day and afternoon shifts with a bi-weekly schedule of 74 hours, starting as soon as possible. The role involves managing pharmacy operations within a retail setting, driving associate engagement, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with store operations to align pharmacy goals with overall business strategy.
• Overseeing prescription accuracy through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
• Managing inventory and working with the district manager to optimize stock levels.
• Implementing clinical programs like immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to grow prescription volume.
• Supervising pharmacy personnel, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintaining pharmacy security and cleanliness.
• Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints to foster loyalty.
• Communicating with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details or resolve issues.
• Prioritizing daily pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
• Monitoring team performance against key department metrics for efficiency and effectiveness.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization Certification.
