Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong expertise in total joints and ENT procedures to join the operating room team. The position involves circulating and scrubbing in diverse surgical cases, ensuring optimal patient care and surgical flow.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate surgical procedures as circulating RN, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Scrub in on cases involving total joints and ENT, maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepare surgical suites and equipment for daily cases, ensuring readiness and safety.
• Collaborate with surgical team members, including anesthesiology and techs, to support efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system, specifically Epic - OpTime.
• Follow designated dress code and infection control policies throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven circulating and scrubbing experience in orthopedic, ENT, and specialty surgeries.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and EMR documentation.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts every 2-4 weeks, including stay late schedules.
• Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
