Family Nurse Practitioner

Location: Fort Collins, CO

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP). In this role, you will provide medical care for adult behavioral health patients, including medical screenings, medication management, and ongoing medical consultations. You will work closely with psychiatrists, hospitalists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an inpatient hospital setting.

Schedule:

• Two-Week Rotating Schedule

• Week 1: 36 hours

• Week 2: 32 hours

• Day shifts

• No call responsibilities

• Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform admission medical screenings and History & Physical (H&P) exams.

• Evaluate and manage medical conditions for behavioral health patients.

• Manage non-psychiatric medications and monitor medication-related medical issues.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, hospitalists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Complete timely and accurate EMR documentation, including admission notes, progress notes, and discharge documentation.

• Care for approximately 13-15 adult patients per day.

• Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or General Nurse Practitioner.

• Active Colorado RN and APRN licenses.

• Active DEA registration with prescriptive authority.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

• Minimum 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience is required.
