Junior Maintenance Technician
$23 - $26 per hourCCL Label
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Junior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility and equipment in Hightstown, NJ. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in maintenance, facilities management, or skilled trades. The Junior Maintenance Technician will assist with preventative maintenance, basic repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of equipment and building systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in performing preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment or facility problems.
- Perform basic repairs, painting, light carpentry, and general facility upkeep.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Assist senior maintenance technicians with equipment installations and larger repair projects.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed tasks.
- Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance skills.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Previous maintenance, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Technical school, vocational training, or coursework in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with facility maintenance.
