As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile and on‑foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, checking gates, doors, and critical infrastructure areas for unusual activity and/or hazards. Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points, verifying authorized entry for employees, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and local emergency services when needed. Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate noteworthy conditions to supervision and/or client representatives. Minimum Requirements Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED. Be at least 21+ Years of Age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
