Assistant Professor - Practice/Part Time, Endodontics

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality and collaboration among members of various education, research, service, and cultural communities. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential. The job duties include supervising dental students evaluating and triaging emergency dental patients and making treatment plans for these patients. Supervising/helping dental students providing endodontic treatment to patients in the endodontic clinic.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required:

Candidates must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree and completion of a CODA-accredited advanced education program in endodontics. Three years of practice experience to be qualified in this position. Must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Information on state dental licensure is available at Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Endodontics is also required.

Desired:

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in dental education and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree.

Additional Information

The budget for this position is up to $2,550. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity and the candidate's qualifications.
