Responsibilities: Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures.
Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity and tonometry.
Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation.
Educate patients on lens options, eyewear care, and eye health.
Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment.
Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
Support inventory management and ordering of optical supplies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the clinic.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in optometry preferred.
1-2 years of experience as an optometric technician or in a related field.
Strong knowledge of optical terminology and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
