Position DescriptionDNA Learning Center Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-renowned scientific research organization located on the North Shore of Long Island, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join a small administrative team at the Dolan DNA Learning Center.Position ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Answering phonesMeeting and greeting teachers, students, and visitorsCreating purchasing requisitions and work ordersHandling registrations, data entry and filingInvoicing and collecting money from schools/organizationsDistributing department mailAssisting with emailing campaigns and other administrative projectsManaging staff calendarsPosition RequirementsEDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent experience SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Two years secretarial/administrative experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail is imperative.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Good judgment and decision-making skills.Familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook & Excel.Supplemental InformationFor immediate consideration, candidates should create an account and apply to the position found here: Receptionist Position ID: 02289 Environment Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a world-renowned biomedical research institution in New York.
