Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator

We are looking for an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage inventory, place material orders, work with vendors, and support our Project Managers and Accounting team. Your work will help ensure materials are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and properly tracked.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with inventory, purchasing, and data.

Job Functions:

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Track materials coming in and going out of inventory.
• Research and correct inventory discrepancies.
• Perform inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Work with warehouse staff to verify inventory levels.
• Monitor stock levels and help prevent shortages or excess inventory.

Purchasing & Vendor Support

• Create and enter purchase orders.
• Track orders and delivery dates.
• Follow up with vendors on order status and shipments.
• Help resolve delivery issues and pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain part numbers, product information, and cost data.
• Support Project Managers with updates on open orders.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain organized purchasing and inventory records.
• Scan and file project documentation.
• Track vendor returns, credits, and refunds.
• Prepare inventory and purchasing reports.
• Use Excel and business systems to analyze inventory data.

Year-End Inventory Support

• Assist with annual inventory counts.
• Help track obsolete or unused materials.
• Support inventory audits and provide documentation when needed.

Knowledge Skills & Experience:

• Experience in inventory control, purchasing, supply chain, or a related role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with inventory or purchasing software. Experience with Navision a plus.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry.
• Understanding of inventory control and purchasing processes.
