Job Description

Perform high-quality welding tasks to produce durable, reliable products. Read and interpret measurements using a standard tape measure. Execute basic math calculations for accurate fabrication. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards. Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and adapt to company processes. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in welding and pass a welding test.
• Understand and work with mechanical systems and tools.
• Read a standard tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Execute welding on steel products, including Mig, Tig, and Flux core welding.
• Participate in fabrication and structure grinding tasks.
• Adapt to working in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in welding, including Mig and Tig welding.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanical systems and tools.
• Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in measurement and basic math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience with aluminum welding is preferred.
• Completion of welding classes or prior welding experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Our facility is a metal manufacturing environment that is non-temperature controlled. We prioritize practical, clean facilities to produce quality products and retain the best team. We have a culture of long-term relationships with our team members and customers. Shifts available include 1st Shift (6am-4pm, M-R), 2nd Shift (3:30pm-11:30pm, M-R), Weekend Shift (6am-6pm, F-S-S), and Early Bird Shift (3:30am-12pm, M-F).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.00/hr.
