The Lead Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for overseeing installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems while leading a team of technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead a team of 4 fire alarm technicians on daily service and project activities
• Install, program, test, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems and related equipment
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local regulations, and company standards
• Coordinate project scheduling, materials, and workload assignments
• Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members
• Interface with customers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, service work, and system performance
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues efficiently

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, and troubleshooting
• NICET certification (preferred) or state equivalent
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Solid knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire/life safety systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
