Attorney - Environmental

A highly respected boutique litigation firm is seeking a talented Environmental Litigation Associate to join its San Francisco office. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of environmental law, consumer protection, and complex litigation, supporting a broad and sophisticated client base.

The Opportunity:

This role offers hands-on experience advising and defending clients in high-stakes environmental and regulatory matters. Associates are given early responsibility, including client interaction and substantive case work, while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend clients in environmental and consumer protection litigation, including Proposition 65, false advertising, and unfair competition claims
• Handle matters involving property contamination and environmental compliance
• Work on citizen suits under federal environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act
• Conduct legal research and provide practical guidance on environmental and consumer product regulations
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Manage discovery and assist with case strategy

Qualifications:

• 2–6 years of relevant litigation and/or regulatory experience
• Experience with Proposition 65, environmental compliance, or consumer protection laws strongly preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Active membership in the California Bar
