Medical Assistant OpportunityChrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management, psychotherapy, and interventional treatments for PTSD, depression, and other mental illnesses. We are looking for a hard working and empathetic individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant supports both clinical and front office operations to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for coordinating patient services, supporting providers with clinical tasks, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.Job Duties Performed:Patient Care & Clinical SupportPerform patient intake, including vital signs and documentation in EMRConduct UA drug screens and other assigned patient testsAssist providers with clinical procedures, including TMS treatmentsEnsure accurate and timely completion of patient diagnostic documentationMedication & Authorization CoordinationSubmit prior authorizations for medications and TMS in a timely mannerProcess prescription refill requests accurately and efficientlyCommunicate with providers, pharmacies, and patients regarding medication needsFront Office & Patient ExperienceCheck patients in and out, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experienceAnswer phones and manage scheduling for new and existing patientsMaintain professionalism and high-quality customer service in all interactionsDocumentation & Administrative AccuracyMaintain accurate and complete patient records in EMRManage patient forms and ensure proper documentation workflowsSupport overall clinic organization and operational efficiencyProcess all medical record transfers.Compliance & Team CollaborationFollow all company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulationsCollaborate with clinical and administrative team members to support clinic operationsMaintain reliability, professionalism, and accountability in all dutiesPerform related duties as assigned by supervisorEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements :Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internally and with patients.Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook), experience with electronic medical records strongly preferredMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesHigh school diploma or GED requiredTraining/certification as a medical assistant preferredPhysical Requirements :Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephoneCompensation & Benefits:$20.00 per hourMedical, dental, vision insurance401K matching retirement planSupportive and collaborative work environment.
