Psych RN Pediatric & Adolescent Inpatient Acute Care

Requirements: RN with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience Travel experience required References: 2 within the last 3 years covering at least 1 year BLS certification required Prevention & Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) certification required Experience with child/adolescent psychiatric care Experience with suicide risk assessment/management

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to a pediatric and adolescent psychiatric population, addressing issues such as suicidal behavior, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and behavioral dysregulation. Conduct suicide risk assessments and manage patients in acute psychiatric crises. Administer medications and engage in psychoeducation for patients and families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care. Monitor and document patient progress using electronic medical records.

Compliance / Notes: Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Must float to nearby facilities as needed; refusal to float may result in termination or loss of guaranteed hours. Scrubs: Any color acceptable; facility provides scrubs for certain departments. Parking: No fee associated.
