Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist 4 days ago Requisition ID: 5540 Salary Range: $84,000.00 To $87,150.00 Annually The Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Registered Associate MFT) is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, which functions to meet the objectives of the community medical center where they work. The Registered Associate MFT is an unlicensed professional under the clinical supervision of a licensed professional. The Registered Associate MFT will provide baseline mental health evaluations to patients at the start of their medical care at the clinic. Provides brief counseling interventions, crisis management and community referrals for patients demonstrating emotional, psychological and/or psychiatric symptoms. Provides referrals for psychiatric evaluation and treatment if appropriate based on mental health needs. Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health Services and Clinic Administrator Qualifications:

1. Active registration as a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California per the legal requirements under the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
2. Minimum of 500 clinical hours of experience providing direct patient services in a medical environment, including working with adults, minors, adolescents, families in individual, group, and/or family therapy.
3. Able to work a flexible schedule of 20 to 30 hours per week or full time as designated by position.
4. A working knowledge of theories and interventions that are utilized to successfully work with patients in order to provide empathy, support, and encourage patients to initiate change.
5. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to communicate in large or small groups and public speaking skills.
6. Thorough working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and contemporary general office practices and procedures
7. Excellent leadership skills and working from a team-based perspective.
8. Typing/data entry skills sufficient to meet production requirements.
9. Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others.

5. Demonstrated proficiency with the electronic health record database within three months of attending training session(s).
6. Fluency in English (speak, read and write).
7. Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read and write) is preferred.
8. Ability to solve problems and make routine recommendations.
9. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about patient(s) Protected Health Information.
10. Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
