Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Shepherdsville, KYShift Hours: First Shift | Full-TimeRole OverviewSeeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, enhance processes, and ensure efficient manufacturing of assemblies and end products. This position will be integral in fixture design, process optimization, ergonomics, and safety compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Main ResponsibilitiesOffer engineering assistance for fixture, machine, and tool design and manufacturingConduct time studies and assess equipment, tooling, and manufacturing proceduresEnhance ergonomics, mistake-proofing, and ease of assemblyWork alongside EHS to guarantee OSHA and safety standard complianceSupport Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk reduction effortsInvestigate incidents and aid in executing corrective measuresPerform safety assessments at the plant and suggest process enhancementsEvaluate new equipment and machines for safety adherenceMonitor environmental factors (such as noise, dust, fumes) and ensure safe levels of exposureBack ISO 14001 and quality/environmental management systemsCollaborate with Quality to ensure proper in-process inspection techniquesRequirementsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesPrior experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly in automotive or assembly environmentsKnowledge of ergonomics, safety regulations, and OSHA standardsProficiency in AutoCAD and standard computer software (Excel, Word, databases)Experience with FMEA, process enhancement, and time studiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAptitude for working cross-functionally with production, quality, and safety teamsRecruiter Remarks (Internal)Preference for experience in automotive / seat assemblyCrucial to be hands-on rather than solely design-focusedSeek candidates with expertise in fixtures + ergonomics + safety exposureKnowledge of FMEA and OSHA regulations are significant advantagesTarget individuals from Tier 1 manufacturing settings
