About the Position

Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) Experience: 1 year CVOR experience required License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Experience with Scrub and circulating required, EPIC required Description: CVOR RN for day shift, Monday through Friday. Call is split amongst staff, approximately 14 times per month, which includes weekend call. Floating required to Vascular and General areas. Experience working in a Level 1 facility preferred. Candidates must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. Experience with scrubbing and circulating in cardiovascular procedures is required. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is necessary. Daily patient census consists of 2 cases. Number of rooms in the unit is 2. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Special procedures performed in the unit include CABG and valve replacement. Special equipment utilized includes heart-lung machines and ECMO. Candidates must comply with safety and infection control protocols. Candidates will be subjected to respiratory clearance and fit testing prior to start. A 6-month break is required after 1 year of work as a traveler.
