We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role supports core accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with close activities, and contributing to timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and tax-related processes in a finance environment.
Responsibilities:
• Record and maintain journal entries, accruals, and other ledger adjustments to support accurate monthly accounting activity.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card activity, and balance sheet accounts while investigating and resolving variances promptly.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by preparing supporting schedules and completing assigned accounting tasks on time.
• Assist in assembling financial statements, account analyses, and operational reporting used by leadership and business partners.
• Provide audit support by gathering requested documentation, preparing backup materials, and responding to information requests from auditors.
• Help ensure accounting records and reporting practices align with GAAP standards and established company financial controls.
• Support corporate and sales tax activities, including preparation of tax-related data and assistance with return documentation as needed.

• Experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting position with direct exposure to general ledger processes.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations with strong attention to accuracy.
• Working knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial statement support activities.
• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and related accounting documentation requirements.
• Understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles in day-to-day work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies independently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders.
$28 - $30 per hour
