Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for handling materials, operating equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and quality guidelines.
• Operate all warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and stretch wrappers.
• Pick items for outbound trucks and unload inbound trucks.
• Meet all department sanitation standards.
• Report on defective ingredients or machinery.
• Accurately record warehouse bin transfers using scan guns.
• Assist with receiving and shipping paperwork.

Essential Skills

• Proven communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Strong ability and willingness to problem-solve.
• Previous manufacturing experience required; previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and PPE requirements.
• Knowledge of manual/power jack, stand-up and sit-down forklift operation.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Curiosity and a strong interest in gaining new skills and learning new things.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
