Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients of all ages. This position requires proficiency in various dental technologies and techniques, as well as a strong commitment to infection control and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Ensure proper infection control protocols are followed in accordance with aseptic techniques.
- Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, including documentation of treatments performed.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in dental hygiene principles, including anatomy and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of medical imaging and patient assessment.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
