Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary Full‑time, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., 28‑bed Med‑Surg unit focused on post‑surgical patients with overflow to general Med‑Surg and telemetry. Magnet designated, Leapfrog and Prism awards. Enhanced sign‑on bonus eligible (up to $20 k for RNs with one year of experience). Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Exemplary Practice & Outcomes Perform nursing process with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practice. Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care adapted to cultural diversity. Partner with patients and significant others for bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and education, keeping patient goals central. Practice current clinical standards. Teamwork & Collaboration Coordinate safe, quality patient care and documentation, supporting an inclusive environment. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support recruitment/retention of team members. Participate in performance improvement and shared governance at all system levels. Professional Development & Initiative Complete initial and ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education. Serve as preceptor/mentor for professional nurses, staff, or students. Evidence‑Based Practice & Research Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. Participate in value analysis and data collection, consult experts, and use appropriate resources. Resources & Support Plan care across the continuum, support protocols and procedures, and optimize human and material resources. Perform duties as assigned and comply with Wellstar policies and codes of conduct. Required Minimum Education Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred). Required Minimum Licenses & Certifications RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact). BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent. Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years of RN experience in direct patient care. Required Minimum Skills Fluency in English. Basic computer skills and technology proficiency. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
