About the Opportunity Cafe Spice is looking for a passionate Maintenance Operations Manager to spearhead the management of both production equipment and facility infrastructure within our dynamic USDA and FDA regulated environment. This pivotal leadership role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all processing equipment and plant utilities, while promoting operational excellence and minimizing downtime. What You’ll Do Lead and manage maintenance operations across processing, packaging, and facility systems. Oversee equipment such as kettles, conveyors, tray sealers, filling lines, chillers, ovens, and automation systems. Manage facility infrastructure including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, electrical systems, fire protection, and utilities. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance uptime and extend asset life. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and other safety/regulatory requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, FSQA, Sanitation, and Operations teams. Utilize Fiix CMMS and ERP systems for managing work orders, maintenance schedules, asset tracking, and reporting. Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of parts and services. Ensure emergency response readiness and operational continuity across the plant. Build and foster a high-performing maintenance team focused on safety, accountability, and outstanding performance. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong technical expertise in food processing and packaging equipment. Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, refrigeration systems (ammonia/Freon), compressed air, and wastewater systems. Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with CMMS and ERP systems. Knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation is a strong advantage. Proven leadership abilities, budget management skills, and experience in cross-functional collaboration. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and food safety standards. Why Join Cafe Spice?
